Conference

It is now time for the mobile industry to reach out to the rest of the world to discuss how best to use this amazing medium to further reach all of our goals. Leading international thought leaders and innovators, from the mobile industry and those who are starting to use mobile in their own areas, will share their experiences from around the world in a series of talks and debates.

Incorporated into the format is the Innovators’ Lounge, which gives a forum to 8 mobile entrepreneurs from around the world. They will share their visions of how they are using mobile to impact the future of health, education, gaming and community.
And be sure to stop by the Knowledge Drop Box, where you can step into a TV studio to explain your own view on the opportunities that mobile present for your business.

Themes

We will be looking at the impact of mobile technology on:

  • Communication and marketing
  • Music and entertainment
  • Emerging markets, with speakers invited from Japan, India and Africa.

Context will be provided by talks on privacy, the controversial subject of climate change and innovative service design.

Open Space

After our welcoming evening, where you will meet your fellow participants, we will start the first day with an Open Space format.  With no formal agenda beyond the theme of ‘how will mobile change your future’, this format runs on two fundamentals: passion and responsibility.

openspace

In a short period the group will discuss the core elements of this complex topic. Then participants will suggest areas of interest. Within 45 minutes we will split into groups for more in-depth discussions. The process and conclusions will be recorded for all to see and share. These ideas can be further developed in the Future Cubes the next day.

MLOVE Future Cubes

The ConFestival will finish with a workshop where speakers and fellow MLOVE participants will manifest new ideas for the future of mobile in a very hands-on fashion. We will work together with ideation experts to create an intense exchange about what you learned during the conference and create a future cube as the group. Themes include: Music, media, communication, fashion, mobility and emerging markets.

futurecubes

You will craft, paint or create ideas to design your future cube and, after the session, compare your creations with the other groups during a vernissage. Finally, we’ll light up a big bonfire, partially fuelled by most of the created materials in the future cubes (but not before we have documented everything with photos for the MLOVE archive and for your later access).

Festival

Conference

ConFestival is the MLOVE format, combining our inspirational speakers in a top-notch conference track full of international thought leaders. The festival part is the chance to network with the whole conference group at a welcome get-to-know-you dinner, a gala dinner & party and being entertained by great DJs. During the finishing vernissage of the MLOVE Future Cube gallery we will light up a big bonfire.
